We should give Gary Waters a call

At least we were respectable under him and the RAC was always sold
Out. I know it's not even realistic but I have to bring his name up during every coaching search that we have.

As long as Quincy Douby can be brought back as a 20 year old.

Using your logic this should be our guy since he was the last one to see the NCAA

Kevin Bannon was very underrated. Think he is still in Mercer County managing the Park system. Why not lob a call into him ?

And most feel that Mike Rice has been rehabilitated. The man can coach.

All the coaches mentioned had some moments....... In the end, none of them could win away league games.... Couple that with a mediocre home record, you wind up sub .500 ......

Throwing out The Wenzel ncaa year, Waters did the best job overall, but not good enough to be retained.... We could hardly ever break through and win on the road.......

We wax nostalgic for the Waters era, but that's only because of how awful it's been here since.

Firing Waters wasn't necessarily a mistake -- firing him for the reason we did, after giving him a contract extension, and fixing him up with FHJ as a recruiter was classic Rutgers. Both men could have played to their strengths if that tandem had been given a chance to work out. THAT was a mistake.

Please be respectful of Gary Waters.....he does not belong in the unsuccessful coaches list.......classy, educated (Masters degree), good X and O's guy that beat several ranked opponents....but could not get a big man....including bad luck in not getting a top big man out of Nigeria.

Rutgers politics ran him out of town....instead of getting him someone that could recruit a big man.

Manny Quezada with the crossover dribble, to the top of the key, to the line, to the basket.

I can hear Bruce Johnson's voice in my head right now.

Why do I remember this ? It's a curse I tell you.

Had some connections there. He was incredibly close to doing so.
