Freeman's knees were bothering him....he was limping.....he was on stationery bike for times during 1st half...and I think Diallo got hurt as well during 2nd half.....
By default Sanders might be considered a go to scorer.The problem ,however,Sanders missed a jump shot with 5 seconds remaining.Also at the end of the first half Rutgers couldn't even get a shot off as time was wasted dribbling the ball at mid court.
Sanders clearly is a very good point guard and can make a basket off the dribble.The problem for the entire squad is making shots with the game on the line .St.Johns and Wake Forest should have been wins.
Diallo fouled out with 12 minutes left, when Jordan (who I love, and think is a very good coach) made a very large error not subbing Lewis for Diallo right away when Diallo drew his 4th foul. Wake immediately went inside right at Diallo, who immediately picked up his 5th foul.

As soon as Diallo picked up his 4th (it was on an offensive rebound) Eddie got Greg up to go in. Ball was inbounded before Greg could get in and Diallo picked up his 5th on that possession. Not making an excuse, but it wasnt as if Diallo was in for a couple minutes between his 4th and 5th. He got his 5th 17 seconds of game time after getting his 4th. Hopefully Diallo learns from that. Frosh mistake.
This year and all others the problem has not been the lack of one player. It hasn't been simply the lack of of a "true point guard." It hasn't simply been the lack of a "knock down shooter." It hasn't simply been the lack of an "inside presence" or someone who can take it to the hole and "finish around the rim." And now it isn't simply the lack of a "go to" guy.
It's been the repeated existence of rosters that have too little talent, too few good players. Every year, every game, every quarter, every play, it manifests itself in different ways. One day it's the inability to make the last shot. The next it's the inability to distribute the ball. Some it's both of those and more things. But the problem has always been that we don't bring in enough good players. It still is.

I only saw the end of the game, but I was impressed with the shot your frosh pg got. It was a great look. He missed it, but I was impressed by getting such a good shot in that situation.
