This year and all others the problem has not been the lack of one player. It hasn't been simply the lack of of a "true point guard." It hasn't simply been the lack of a "knock down shooter." It hasn't simply been the lack of an "inside presence" or someone who can take it to the hole and "finish around the rim." And now it isn't simply the lack of a "go to" guy.
It's been the repeated existence of rosters that have too little talent, too few good players. Every year, every game, every quarter, every play, it manifests itself in different ways. One day it's the inability to make the last shot. The next it's the inability to distribute the ball. Some it's both of those and more things. But the problem has always been that we don't bring in enough good players. It still is.
