Will just have to accept RU didn't make the Big Dance to do the Cha-cha on the Ballroom floor, but got invited to Samba on a smaller dance floor.
It's far better than just the Disco home

They were early. I like that as a first round matchup. Virginia in the 2nd round would, of course, be a rematch of a November game.

i like our chances of getting through the first two rounds. And if we do, I don't know anything about the other four teams (Liberty, Villanova, Hofstra and Harvard).

Let's get past Georgetown first! If Virginia defeats VCU, it will be a rematch from the Paradise Jam where we beat Virginia 60-48 (but only up by one at the half). Go RU !!!

There should no more NIT for men's or women's basketball. Just like meaningless minor bowl games. They just keep coaches' jobs intact that should be on the hot seat (in many cases). College athletics aren't what they used to be. We now reward mediocrity (in fact, we reward LOSING...5-7 teams can go to bowl games!). Oh how I miss going to a MEANINGFUL post-season basketball game like to the Temple campus to watch RU vs Ohio State...then to be rewarded after an RU victory with a game vs Pat. Now THAT WAS POST SEASON BASKETBALL. Signed, an Old Timer who will not accept mediocrity.

Does anyone know how these WNIT brackets are seeded? Is there a way to figure out what kind of seed RU got?

I believe they are set up regionally. Notice that most of the right side of the bracket is east coast and the left is west. Done this way to manage travel in the earlier rounds.
