Yeah, I'm a Neal McCready with this one. I don't mind us swapping up our uniforms all the time, it's not like we have true 'tradition' anyway. But I hate the white helmet most of all.

Honest question for you old QB's on the board. When you drop back to pass and look for receivers, do you look more for helmets or jerseys or does it make any difference ?

Often jersey and helmet are the same color and opposite color of the opposing team. Yes its much easier to see the route/receivers when they are different color. It would be terrible if both teams had white helmets snd jerseys to differentiate having only seconds to go thru 2 or 3 progressions. But has that ever happened? I think the home team choses colors and the away team wears their corresponding colors, meaning not white in this case

Agree on the maroon pants. Burn those things. Don't mind the all white look on the road, although I think the white jersey, white pants with maroon helmets is our best road look.

We have to wear the Mstate ribbon logo b/c of branding, but we wear crap like this on the field? Ok.

I played some QB in HS back in the early 70s when the forward pass was still a rarity. We mostly used a rollout when we did throw, and I had no trouble locating my receivers by jersey and/or helmet. (Getting the ball to them was a bit more of an adventure sometimes.)

Later at State, I played QB on an intramural flag team. That was fun, more like sandlot, no problem finding receivers there. We went undefeated in our independent conference, but we got smashed by one of the frat teams in the playoffs. It was a lot of fun, though.

Yeah if they are willingly putting your game head to head with the CBS 2:30 game you know they have already conceded that nobody will watch this game. They even gave Arkansas vs UAPB an unopposed time slot (relative to other SEC games) over us. LOL.

It’s not the Head EM or even Leach that’s making these calls as to uniform each week.
