Watching the Bama Florida game now

I would pay money to see what Saban would have done if the refs would have pulled that punt crap on him. None of that crew would have jobs today, he might have killed the closest one to him.

It reminded me a lot of our 2017 game against Bama. Dan has figured out some things against Saban, the last three times he’s faced Saban it’s been a very close game.

I don't think that defense is quite what it was when Mullen was at MSU & he's got better OL talent at Florida

"Talent being equal," this is true of most coaches. But getting better talent is part of being a great coach too and that's what separates those guys.

I submit to you every Bama coach between Stallings and Saban to suggest that Saban is a special coach. Bama laid an egg or two his very first year, but not since. And you don't get all of "your" players in a system in one season.

Recruiting is a major part of college football. That's reality.

That's why I've never cared too much about innovation or whatever, if it doesn't DIRECTLY lead to getting better players. Because better players makes your job infinitely easier. Always.

And there's a reason those great players go and play for that coach. The allure of the school is some of it, but not all of it.
