Will never understand the Cliff hate. 1200+ points, 900+ rebounds, 220+ blocks and an anchor player on arguably Rutgers MBB best 5 year stretch ever. His junior year was terrific and thru 23 games was one of Pike’s best teams. Was a deserved 2nd team All-B1G that year. We don’t have many of those. If that Junior year ends differently he probably gets more of the plaudits (imo) he deserves.

He’s gone so the point is mute..however, his value to Alabama is a lot less that’s it would be to us, who could use a mature veteran presence and allow us not to have to use Ogbole. Alternating Cliff, Lathan, and Martini between the 4 and 5 would change our team’s trajectory dramatically.
I understand the sentiment and probably agree, but Dylan is shooting .575 FG% because he is getting to the rim at will. If Cliff is in the game those shots at the rim are much more contested. Versus Monmouth and Wagner who cares. Versus Purdue and UCLA (later) who knows the impact of much more crowded lanes. Either way I don’t think he helps us much more than he helps Bama. And I think he helps Bama. Cliff is not and has never been a game changing player. And I type that as someone who likes Cliff’s game a bunch.

He was absolutely terrible last year. Somerville has so many more post moves in his freshman year than Cliff has now
Post moves and ball handling his whole offensive game is 1000x better than Cliff as a freshman!!
Let’s wait for Big Ten competition before making profound comparisons.
