Interesting to see the other side of our bracket:

Anyone know why it's "Starkville and Stanford" instead of either "Starkville and Palo Alto" or "Mississippi State and Stanford?"

Edit to sort of answer my own question: Stanford is apparently its own town. Although, Mississippi State, MS is technically separate from Starkville, too.

Boy, i bet you’re a ton of fun to work under...

Prepare yourselves for UC Santa Barbara. Of all the teams in the tourney they have the second-most projected MLB Top 500 draft picks with 6.

A couple of teams (UCLA, UGA, and Vandy) have seven projected picks.

I think the Gauchos will come out of that regional.A few key players to watch:
OF Tommy Jew is their version of Mangum. OF Armani Smith is a draft pick as well, along with the catcher Eric Yang. Pitchers Ben Brecht, Jack Dashwood, and Chris Lincoln will all be draft picks as well, so those guys are loaded.

[Drewbowski]

We have to make it out of our own regional first. Not looking good currently.

Agreed. Frankly I think the top 3 seeds in that Stanford bracket would beat us 2 out of 3.

And right on cue the Gauchos are getting their spangled leather panchos handed to them by Fresno State.

I guess it’s hard to run the bases in elevator shoes.

Bodacious Cowboys...

The Big West was trash this year. UCSB’s strength of schedule is in the 150s and yesterday’s loss to Fresno is the only game vs a Top 50 RPI team that they’ve played (and they got killed). It doesn’t matter how much draft talent they have, you can’t come into this tournament with ZERO experience vs high caliber teams an expect to advance.

77.9% Louisville is in a whole lot of trouble right now.

Why no TV at that location, not there yesterday, either?

Did not really want to watch them, just not seeing that they are on ESPN's stuff.
Thanks anyway.

Don't look now but Oregon State is in full choke mode after losing to Cincy last night, they trail Creighton 4-1 in the 7th.

Ha, thanks. I was beginning to think it either went right over everyone’s head or I’m the only Steely Dan fan left on the board! Glad to know we will still be welcome here high in the custerdome...
