My apologies to him. He's got the right stuff and can play with the elite. I was wrong.

sucks our ******* previous head coach ran him out of town

Wan'Dale gave his heart and soul to NU every week then led the SEC in receiving. shouldn't have taken him going to the giants to realize he's got the goods.

In your defense, the former coach had a lot of people completely fooled, until it was way too late

I never wanted a good player to transfer away until Robinson. Frost was abusing this guy's ability and dedication by treating him like a power back. He ran him inside three times in a row against 300 lb D linemen. I think another season under Frost and he would have suffered career altering injuries instead of finding success as an SEC WR.

Yeah, let's take one of the smallest guys on the team and play him at RB every down in the Big 10. Man, Frost was an idiot.
Except Frost didn't do that... Understandably people are upset with how the Wandale situation unfolded but IMO, it's important to be honest about the situation... You can count on one hand how many times Wandale had double digit carries in his carrer at Nebraska... Wandale aside from the Penn State game in 2020 didn't have double digit carries in a single game except PSU, which happened to be McCaffreys first start ever... Wandale had 8 carries in each half which helped McCaffrey and resulted in a win... Putting it into perspective aside from PSU, Debo Samuel had more carries in the playoffs alone last year than Wandale had the rest of the 2020 season... Interestingly Wandale was telling all the NFLs organizations during the combine, how his game was comparable to Samuel's, and how he would do what ever he needed to help the team whether it be at RB or WR... At the end of the day Wandale initially wanted to be an APB in college... Frost recruited him as such and it was the whole reason he flipped to NU in the first place.... It didn't work out how he envisioned and he moved on... I mean K State does pretty well with a 5'6" 176 lb guy in their backfield... Are we suggesting the B12 doesn't have any 300 lb DTs????

He shouldn't have been playing RB even 1 snap. Wandale and everyone in the world knew his future was at WR yet Frost and others put him at RB because the Huskers coaches at the time assessed he gave them the best chance to win. Except that wasn't what was best for Wandale or his future. Hence why he transferred to UK.

We may never know the true story here, but I personally believe his old man put pressure on Frost to feature Wandale as much as possible. Given the fact that our former coach is weak-minded and former quarterback is woefully inaccurate, they wanted the ball in his hands any possible way. He was Frost's savior. Sad.

I think there were many, many factors that went into Wandale transferring and not just because he was overused as a running back and underused as a wide receiver. I think it also had to do with wanting to be closer to home. But perhaps most importantly of all, I think he knew that our QB play and our offensive line play were not good enough to showcase his talents. He knew that no matter how long he was here that those factors were not going to change. I also think he got tired of all the losing. Believe it or not, most elite athletes want to play for teams that win. Because that showcases their talent even more.

I agree. I always felt that Robinson left mainly because he was stuck on a ****** team and could easily transfer to a better one that was in his own backyard. How he was used might have had something to do with it, but losing to any team with a pulse gets old in a hurry.

To be fair, most other teams didn’t really need a pulse to beat Frost
