“As of right now, Nebraska is probably my leader. And then everybody else, it’s really close,” Robinson said. “Everybody has a chance as of right now. I’m not set on anybody. I haven’t ruled anybody out. That’s just, as of right now, that’s who I believe is my leader.”

He took his official visit to Lincoln during the first weekend of the college season. Weather ultimately canceled the Cornhuskers’ opener, but he already felt like he’d be a good fit for new head coach Scott Frost’s offense, and Robinson gained a greater understanding and appreciation for the history behind that storied program while he was there.

“I really liked it,” he said. “I didn’t really get the tradition side of everything until I got out there. And really just seeing all those fans and how crazy they are about football. Just seeing everything they have to offer. I didn’t think it would be anything like it was. I just thought it would be a bunch of fields and just nothing out there. But they really have a lot to offer.”

They've got these teeth and these claws, man, and they just don't know how to kill the bunny!

I want Robinson BADLY. Kid is a problem with a capital P with the football in his hands. You're seeing it with Washington already as a true freshman, that thing of of "man, you just can't get that kid on the ground when you're one-on-one in space."

One thing the staff is doing spectacularly is loading up guys who are a nightmare to tackle at the second level. I have a sneaking suspicion that Frost's future hold more QB run game than his past does as I look at the kids they have committed at that position as well.

Pleasantly surprised to hear we have an edge, especially since the Akron game was cancelled and we got in on him a little late. That tells me he has formed a good bond with the coaches. Encouraging sign.

Agreed but Bama has shown that they are not afraid to play true freshman. Bama's top running back Damien Harris (who was the top running back out of high school in his class) is from Kentucky as well. I think a lot will depend on how the visit to Bama goes and how much they prioritize him AND if Kentucky's success this year will have any bearing on his decision. Kentucky has a solid team and will be playing for 2nd place in the SEC East this year. This kid is a game changer, that's for sure.
