Sure didn't look like it on those two TD passes.

Get a clue. Alot more goes into football than blaming your quarterback for every single thing that goes wrong.

But the non football playing or coaching "fans" will break down what's wrong with WVU no matter what.

There's two reasons DH allowed his QB to only toss the ball 12 times.

1). The running game was working great

.....so what could the second reason be...?

Pick and choose much? Does this game completely mitigate the last 5 games where Howard has been wildly inaccurate. That pick was a terrible throw by the way. I'll admit that he looked pretty sharp this game, but that does not change that he has been inaccurate as much as accurate this season. This game worked because the running game set up good throwing situations.

His first INT was an accurate throw. Also a few passes, slant to Shorts comes to mind where. shorts had to make a play to catch it as well as a failed third down conversion on a different pass to Shorts.

I will admit he had a better game than normal, but I just don't think he will ever be better than a 2td/1int guy on a consistent basis. In this league, that's not going to get it done against the top tier, as we have seen.

His accuracy has everything to do with throwing the ball on time. Prior to today he was consistently LATE. Today he was much better throwing the ball on time leading to better accuracy and timing with the receivers on their routes. Finally, throwing late allows the defense to close the separation and cause further problems.

I am glad Howard did well today, but he isn't a Top QB. He is however who we have right now, so I hope he stays healthy and can help us win three more games plus the bowl.

His accuracy is a problem. He had a good game today. He's shown capable of having good games. Be happy with the win.
