W&L Heartbreaker

I'm not a guy that usually bash referees but in a 1 point game with less than 5 seconds left and the coach tells you that when we get the rebound we want a timeout. For a referee to say ok and refuse to call a timeout for the final 4 seconds is absolutely crazy. Not only did he ignore the coach but a player as well in which he shuck his head no to. I'm not saying it would of changed the outcome but a lot can happen with 4 seconds left and down by 1 with the ball. Just a terrible way for those guys on the team to lose. Much respect to the Essex Trojans

You were the same guy on here bashing W&L's football coach when they were 8-0, so you aren't upset with the basketball coach? You must be boys with him, or you might even be him, who knows.

The only lost we had outside of the district was the first game to a bigger school in James Monroe with no practice because football season had just ended. Everybody knows everybody in the district, anybody can beat anybody. We are 3-1 against the top 2 teams. We just fell short when it counted.

To start off ranked #3 and to lose this early is a real disappointment. Not making excuses but to lose 4 key players off your team over the season can make a big difference, 3 of them was possible starters.
