If it’s like football and guys can jump in the portal there’s going to be some major checks written either to get them away or to retain them. Huge payday coming up.
It's appears Tennessee has lost their baseball coach to the SF Giants. I am honestly glad to see him go to MLB as the way he let college kids act was disgustingly bad in my opinion. He had the total opposite approach from the UNC staff.
Agree. Not a fan and despise that brand of ball if that’s what you want to call it. Seems VT tries to be the ACC version of this.
Couldn’t happen to a more deserving fanbase. When we went to Omaha two years ago, the only fans that we met that were complete jerks were Tennessee fans. Even the state fans we met were really nice, and we ended up having lunch and dinner with a few of them several times, same with UVA and Kentucky fans. It was crazy how nasty Tennessee fans were. Good riddance to Tony V.
Good riddance. And I’d be shocked if his personality works on MLB players.
Agree. He seems like a horrible fit as a MLB manager, not even counting the fact that he has no professional experience. But as a Dodger fan, I fully support it.
He’s a lot like Aaron Boone, and the guys love AB. They’ll love him to. I don’t like some of his antics, but when you win as much as he has you get some leeway. As bad as some might not like it, Tennessee had a lot to do with the boom in college baseball the last few years.

It’s going to be interesting seeing Giants pitchers grab their crotch and yell “F you” after every out.
He makes good points and no sport will ever have enough in a coach's mind but I think Toney V wanted a challenge and he probably thought what more could he have done at Tennessee and my dad was a Vol and I can now pull for them a little bit now lol at Toney V didn't implement the kind of values I believe young people should be taught.
