Recruits are coming and seeing competitive basketball with limited talent. If I'm a recruit I'm thinking "You know I could make a difference here." Turning this narrow losses into wins with an infusion of talent.

I wish recruits shared your viewpoint but history says otherwise.In the end top tier recruits want to player for a winning program that goes to the NCAA Tournament on a regular basis and Rutgers is left attracting players with limited talent.Prior head coaches at Rutgers faced similar circumstances and were unsuccessful .Hopefully,Pikiell and staff can break the cycle .
78 ... Are you suggesting Rutgers attempt to compete with terrific programs, like Virginia and VCU and Dayton and Providence, who are not quite top tier, when it comes to recruiting.
On last night's broadcast of Dayton @ Davidson, the broadcast team discussed that this year's seniors at Dayton have won more than 100 games in their 4 year tenure.
That is a good 4 years.
Would love to see Coach Pikiell field a team similar to Virginia.

Fans can pick and choose successful programs that they like to watch.There is a difference ,however, being a member of a power conference where the competition is stronger from top to bottom.In Rutgers case right now I doubt they would defeat any of the teams that you list because of the lack of shooters.When a team has such a great difficulty even scoring 60 points a game the results won't be what fans are hoping for.
Coaches are hired and fired because they can't recruit players comparable to the league competition.Pikiell and staff must demonstrate with 2018 recruiting that they can break the cycle of squads full of complementary type players with actual difference makers that can make shots at crunch time.
