Anyone else here attend any Kansas City-Omaha Kings games at the old Civic?
Kings had dropped Omaha from the official name by then, but I saw their last regular season game at Civic against the George Gervin-led Spurs. Gervin and the Kings' Scott Wedman pretty much put on a shooting exhibition that night - defense was optional.

I’m not listeningI’m pretty sure Pistol Pete was either the most underrated basketball player of all time or the most overrated.
Not sure there’s any in-between.

Norm Stewart - Steve Stipanovich - Jon Sundvold
I remember when Nebraska knocked them off when they were ranked #1
Sit down Norm. One of the best fan-created traditions ever at NU!
Underrated. He is still the best of all time.I’m pretty sure Pistol Pete was either the most underrated basketball player of all time or the most overrated.

Of course, but it originated somewhere, and from what I've read it was NU. Maybe that is not accurate - but I'm not old enough to confirm first hand. That chant was used all across the Big 8 not just NU. Winking
Would love to see any team from the past 10 years play the Bad Boys, Celtics, or Lakers in their prime using the rules from back then. Not sure they could score more than 70 points in most games.

Reading is hard.He averaged 44.2 points per game in college and 24.2 ppg in the NBA.
I'm sure you have amazing analogies as to why these aren't relevant.
