Cousins out with Covid for Sunday's Packers game. Sean Mannion starting. Lol. Zimmer gone after this year? Cousins and his overpriced contract gone?

Thought I read Cousins has a $35 million, fully guaranteed deal for next season so he'll be there if that's the case.

The Vikings just signed Kyle Sloter to the 53 man roster. He's the greatest Viking quarterback to have never played in a game. His preseason heroics are legendary.

I think the Wilfs brought him in as a big middle finger to coach Zimmer who is a Dead Man walking.

Fear the Sloter-House. Skol!!! Fingers crossed that Mannion catches the Rona too.

Zimmer is certainly fired after the loss tomorrow. Also there are suitors for Cousins in a trade. The Vikings will be able to trade him. Not sure how much of his contract they’ll have to eat.

Cousins has actually turned out to be a much better QB than I thought. When he came out of MSU, I thought he would become a clipboard holder at best. Seems like a good dude.

He’s a very accurate passer. His problem is he’s a Paint By Numbers QB. Follows the exact script of what he’s supposed to do on any given play. He doesn’t have creative playmaking ability like the greats.

It's chump change for some of these owners. San Francisco is rumored to be interested. I think I read where IF Cousins is on the roster next fall, he takes up 52 million in cap space. So the best case scenario for the Vikings is to trade him for whatever they can get and then rebuild via draft picks. They're going nowhere in their current form. Too many of their defense are getting old and oft injured and Cook is only going to last so long given his size and injury history. The Vikings screwed themselves with Cousins' contract. They might be better off with Sloter at QB and a reworked roster with the money that would save them. It doesn't sound like Monds is looking like he'll ever work out.
