SMU is playing well but when's the last time you saw two separate plays when Huskers ran into each other?!

That was ugly. Had a chance to be #1 oh well. Hope it's a wake up call and not a sign of things to come. That was puke worthy how bad they played
Wide and talking about how they have played so far this year. Good, but not great, especially considering they had everyone back.
The serving was terrible, passing no better and girls standing around watching. SMU is not that good but we made them look that way tonight.
It would be one thing if this was just an off night but we have been playing down to this level.

I guess that is just another way of saying it's hard to stay hungry when you are on top...its much easier to be hungry on the way up. These girls do not seem very hungry.

Yikes. We really looked awful. Cook has a lot of work to do. Our serving and return of serve has been weak over the last two matches. We keep playing like this and we will struggle to finish 3rd in the conference. Fortunately I think we will get better. This is largely the same roster as last year. Hard to explain why they are struggling. Complacency? Thank God Cook is our coach. He will get this corrected.
It looks to be a wild ride in volleyball this year. The Huskers have as a big a target on their backs as anyone. If they can make it back to The Final Four it will be a great accomplishment. Cook has said the last 2 years, "This team wants to be great." I believe him. I think NU will be in the battle at the end.
This team is reeling right now. I watched the TCU game. Didn't watch the SMU game. But my guess is that they played about as bad Saturday night at home as they did last night. Against TCU everyone was hitting into the block and several times players jumped in front of each other to return a ball. Someone who watched the SMU game said that Lexi Rodriguez isn't playing well either? That almost seems impossible to me. And that touted Minnesota hitter isn't even getting to play?
I'm not a volleyball expert. But I've seen teams in various sports get in a funk, start pressing, lose their chemistry and cohesion. Sometimes it can be very hard to pinpoint the issue. If anyone will dig into the psychology of the situation effectively, it's John Cook.

The last time we had a bad loss like this we won a Natty. Don't forget that we have Cook and he will use this. It was probably good for this team.

Lexi looked like a mere mortal to me last night. We're all just so used to her exceptional play that you take it for granted. Oh well, I don't envy the next team (The Citadel?) that faces the Huskers. I think the Huskers are gonna be pi$$ed.
