Heard this on the radio. Yes, I know you can't believe everything you hear, but...
Said 60% of all vasectomies in this country are done during March Madness, due to the fact guys just want to sit back afterwards & watch the hoops! Pretty weird stat
Who hear is having 1? Can think of a couple posters that perhaps should have 1.

The true definition of "I would give my left nut to be able to sit back and enjoy march madness" lol

Or better yet- don't believe everything you read

It's a concept that's neither original nor limited to vasectomies. I had a hernia repair and a knee repair both done (separately, of course) on the day before Thanksgiving. The logic was that it opted me out of Thanksgiving dinner with my in-laws.

Yep - if you are going to have to sit around watching TV, it makes sense to try to do it when there is alot of interesting content on TV.

Just make sure the doctor isn't watching in the OR during the procedure...might get a little overexcited with a last minute basket and snip too much.

unless you're getting it done at sport clips, I don't think that should be an issue lol

Had mine the day after Thanksgiving so I could spend the following day watching college football (with a strategically placed ice pack, of course).

Whatever, good luck. Just enjoy the sex afterward. Very liberating for women. If I wasn't married, I would have carried business cards with a big spade on it.

It is all TRUE, my Dr told me the same thing. They have a SURGE in the procedures during this time because you are supposed to sit around and do nothing during recovery.

Funny thread because I'm actually sitting here and recovering from the snip as I type this. Today, wasn't the original date, but I cancelled two weeks ago on the snow day.

Amazingly enough, yesterday was the first opening they had. It's a damn shame to be sitting at home away from kids and watching basketball and on demand all day.

That was my strategy. And the wife was so happy she carried endless plates of snacks to me while I watched the games.

That's actually when I did mine; three years ago after the birth of my second child. A Thursday morning; sat in my man cave for two straight days.

Had mine 30 years ago!! My advice is to not believe the statement: you might experience minor pain. Actually beside my balls turning purple for a day or two, it was the wise and best thing to do. If you're not man at all you can tell your wife/GF to get her tubes tied, which is a far worse procedure for her. Be a man and man up. Be a real man: agile, verile, sterile.

If I had to watch endless days of college basketball, I'd volunteer to chop off my own balls too.
Somehow I don't think that's what you were going for though.

NCAA Frozen Four begins April 9th.

I had my apendix out New Years Eve. I was at my desk at work the morning of Jan 2. Didn't miss 1 f'n day of work.

I had my nuts snipped at 4pm on a Tuesday. I was at work the next day.

A vasectomy is like having 5 Father's days in a row. Can't do anything but sit on the couch with something cold in your lap and watch TV. No honey-do's for a week! Wish I could have another.

Friend of mine had his done last year on the Wednesday before the Masters. Sat at home and watched the whole thing on TV.

Maybe next year...

WTF is wrong with you...got something to prove to the world. Sorry, but I am pretty tough and sickness and many other things are things I work through but there is always one guy or girl who have to prove themselves in some weird way like this.
I see women boasting same type of ****...had a c section and on my treadmill the next day- yeah yeah yeah

Appendix out and not in bed the next day- sorry but that is just stupid and no one should take that advice or look at you as a tough guy for doing something so stupid.

Being lazy is no way to go through life. My grandfathers didn't take sick days. My old man didn't. My sons won't follow the self entitled millennials.

Work. Save. Then go make another dollar.

Hey, if anybody wants to ignore doctor's advice and risk further complications, more power to them. For me, I got home Thursday night, laid around all day yesterday and that night and I feel pretty good today. I iced on and off every 30 minutes, very little swelling but some occasional discomfort. Much like that lingering feeling after a ball shot.

My wife and I went through a lot of baby drama over the last year and a half so this is the least I could do to make sure we're in good shape for the future. I even got to watch a ton of basketball and Dexter over the last 2 days. Nothing wrong with that.

Castrated? Are you an idiot or just not too smart? After a vasectomy you still have erections, you still shoot a load, you just don't have any swimmers. Get with the program and man up. Sounds like you're afraid.
