Mississippi State has parted ways with head coach Vann Stuedeman, sources informed JWOS on Tuesday.
Stuedeman led the Bulldogs for eight seasons after taking the program's helm in June 2011. Her tenure included seven NCAA tournament appearances; she ends her tenure in Starkville with an overall record of 276-189.
The Bulldogs posted a record of 69-127 in SEC play under Stuedeman; the Bulldogs earned the #12 seed in the SEC tournament in 2019. The squad bested tournament host Texas A&M in the tournament's play-in game before losing to Ole Miss in the tournament's opening round.
Before taking the helm at Mississippi State, Stuedeman spent eleven seasons as the pitching coach at Alabama, helping lead the program to a trio of SEC regular-season championships and six Women's College World Series appearances. She also coached at West Alabama and Alabama-Huntsville.
This is a breaking news story and will be updated.

She was the Softball version of Croom.... you can’t consistently finish at the bottom of the SEC and get beat by Ole Miss 20 runs.

Seems like odd timing. Shouldn’t this have happened like 6 weeks ago when the season ended?

Well that not Vanntastic!
Surprised at this move now. Hope they have the replacement ready to announce.

Statement from Bastard:

"I’m not going to take anything off the table at this point in time ... but I will tell you this,” Cohen began, “this person is going to have serious baseball softball experience as a head coach. This person is going to have made trips to Omaha, Nebraska Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This person is going to have expertise in an area of the game and in all facets of the game. And this person is going to make our fan base very happy."

Was thinking that same thing. Makes you wonder if there’s more to the story.

Have a loft. I laughed hard. Both at the cynical dickishness to post this, and then all the downvotes just brought it home
