NJ 2018 high profile (and national) recruit Combo guard Jalen Carey on campus among others like Justin Winston (2018)....Karim Coulibaly (2019) and Elijah Everett...(2020).....we are getting visits and it will only get better in time, all of these recruits will enjoy the brand new facility arriving sooner than later.
Jackson is step one of course, hopefully we lock this down before the start of the week.

I have seen Jalen Carey play several times. He is outstanding. I would love to have him choose RU.
I am basically a two man company within a larger diverse one so I have to sell myself 10 times harder than my competition which are typically anywhere from 5 to 50 times my size.Pike is facing the same odds not in terms of numbers but in terms of having to swing for the fences every day when some of his competitors are sitting at home waiting for the recruits to stream in. I do not envy him.But I have faith in him.
No commitment with mention of other visits coming up, not a good sign for RU landing him, could be wrong, but that's a logical thought process on these types of situations.....he did mention from the beginning that he was planning to take all 3 visits regardless, so we'll see what happens.

Very happy with the jerseys! (For those who think the color is off, he's using some filter for instagram or something so calm down it's the good red just imagine it for now) .. it's that true adidas style with the color on top. I also like the name way better than the trash one Nike made last year, had no back drop and the R's in RUTGERS were a little off. Can't wait to see the white ones and red ones.

I think Vance is from California. Perhaps he would like to return to the west coast but than again maybe the Brandon Knight connection might help us.
Your assessment probably is spot on which is another indication of getting visits is far easier than closing the deal for Rutgers.Top tier recruits have choices which puts Rutgers in a situation where players might choose other schools and then the list has to be expanded to lower level recruits.Pikiell and staff are hard workers and fans will have to wait and see how the recruiting process turns out.
Not necessarily true at all.....getting the visit is the first step, players have lots of options, but out of dozens of schools to choose from, he visited here........our staff has a connection to the player, since Hobbs recruited him at UConn., but doesn't mean he's obligated or was an automatic assumption to visit or potentially consider RU...doesn't mean he is the best fit or right fit, but getting a visit and not getting a commitment is not a negative, despite people believing so....regardless of whether he goes to RU or elsewhere, you have to be in the mix first.
It's a matter of numbers and RU is far ahead of where they have been in recruiting over the last 20+ years....The only potential comparison was Rice starting at RU before he collapsed his own cause, but that was so short lived, it isn't a fair comparison....RU can land a 4 year player that would be here in 2018 at a similar or same talent level as Jackson....I like Jackson's game a lot and he would add another piece to the puzzle, but it's ultimately up to the player and parents on what they want. This is not a negative at all.
Need to see a few thing on this before I can make a comment or decide.
1. Want to see the reverse (red with the black shoulders).
2. Want to see it in white with red on the shoulders.
3. Want to see what the shorts look like too for any of these combos.
4. And a different set of #'s so we can see what the font looks like.

It is not bad. I would love to see the Scarlet version, white version, and the backs of all 3 versions before deciding if I like them or not. I am not a fan of the current uniforms. They just don't seem to grab my eyes.

Waiting till after Baylor visit in June? Never good chance for us when it drags out for so long
There's choices out there. I'm sure we showed him the best we could show him. A 5 star point guard just committed to DePaul last night. We have an excellent coaching staff and a very promising future. Other places have nicer surroundings and stadiums. The practice facility will be a big selling point but right now it's just blue prints and a few holes in the ground.
Washington is beautiful. If he comes here it will be to play for Pikiell. Hopefully the staff keeps on him. We have a lot of offers out there though. The pressure isn't there just yet to decide but it's coming. I don't think it's worth pressuring any kid who has to sit a year and takes a scholarship. Let him look around and be sure. I' like him but no big deal either way. There's a lot of talent out there.
