Didn’t realize they were playing this year , I will be a big Roadrunner fan that day. Would love for a new conference member to beat up on the school that hires the weirdest football coaches in the country

Most interesting thing about UTSA is that Larry Coker (who lost the Tulsa job to Keith Burns because he was too old) built the program from nothing and had a respectable 26-32 record in his tenure at a school with no previous football program..

That was most definitely an age discrimination bad call, mistake.

I don’t have anything personal against San Antonio or UTSA itself, but their fans are of the same mold as ucf fans… they are way too big for their britches.

UTSA isn’t much of an academic institution. Quite the opposite.

The only good thing you can say about them is that they are located in San Antonio. Just barely.

One team beat us by 100 and another beat us by three touchdowns on our Homecoming. Both have/will use us and our conference to maximize their profit and move on in a heartbeat. UTSA is essentially Houston in a smaller city. That said, UTSA is the least insuffferable of all the Texas teams. That is to say the most tolerable cancer.

I think we need to rank the insufferability of all the Texas teams - from most to least -

My rankings would be

Kitty
SMOO
UTSA
UNT
Lamar
Rice

You missed a lot: Texas, Baylor, Texas Tech, UTEP, TCU, Incarnate Word, Abilene Christian, Tarleton State. So my list would be:

Houston Community College
Texas Tech
Texas
SMU
Baylor
TCU (interchangeable for all the small loosely affiliated Christian schools whose fans think their school is way more important than it actually is)
UTEP
UTSA
UNT
Rice
Field

I missed the schools that were not part of our conference. You’re right - there are many more, although disparaging Houston Community College by comparing it to Kitty U is a bit much. It’s really unfair. I also forgot Beans, as it’s right down the street from Rice.

Aggies are the best large school fan base in Texas. Yes they can be a little cult like, but in a good way. Rice fans are extremely friendly and love seeing other Rice fans (because there are so few).

A little cult-like? Talk about a student pop and fan base indoctrinated...and I know plenty of Aggies, Aggie fans, etc.

Always fun to walk through a texas bar and yell "whoop!"...the aggies pop their heads up and sound like a bunch of turkeys answering...
You’re supposed to yell “hook ‘em”, especially in College Station.

You mean like the ridiculous "Boomer" "Sooner" cattle call?
Yup...

My son and I went to the CWS and that ridiculousness was on full display... only thing worse was the asshattery of the Olay Miss fans... they make Arkyslaw fans look like erudite sophistacates..

Calling the pigs may be the dumbest thing in any fandom. Let's show everyone our jazz hands and woo for 20 seconds and then mutter something in redneck at the end
