USA Today currently (post-UConn) has TU in first four out. The consensus seems to be that an at large is right there for the taking.

It's there for the taking, but there's no margin for error. Have to win 6 straight starting on Thursday.

Palm has both UConn and Cincy in the playin games. Appears fairly likely that the AAC will have 4 teams on or near the bubble come selection Sunday.

Stole this from the AAC board:

Every Monday morning, the selection committee gets a list of the Top 100 in the RPI and where they rank in the KPI, BPI, Sagarin, Pomeroy and LRMC.

This morning, they are looking at this:

RPI Team KPI BPI Sagarin Poemroy LRMC
14 SMU 14 11 18 19 20
43 Uconn 37 22 26 23 27
49 Tulsa 48 54 57 57 55
59 Cincy 49 25 29 27 24
68 Temple 53 74 85 86 99
89 Houston 83 86 75 81 78

It appears the RPI and KPI significantly undervalue Cincy and UConn compared to the predictive power ratings (the other four: BPI, Sagarin, Pomeroy, LRMC).

The RPI and KPI significantly overvalue Temple compared to the predictive power ratings.

And the RPI/KPI are in general agreement on SMU, Tulsa and Houston compared to the predictive power ratings.

not to mention the eye test. I think TU's second half performance at UConn passed it for Lunardi and others who were tuned in to root for ESPN's favorite team, UConn

43 is the answer today. Thanks to teams like UALR who won big this year. But still have to win out to guarantee a spot. Beating Cincy and Temple, and others, and losing only to Memphis might still work if we make the finals.

Everything seems to point to three teams. Cincy, Tulsa, UCONN or Temple.

Somebody is going to get left out. Just my 2 cents.

If the AAC only gets two teams the confernece got screwed.

GO TU!!!!

A loss to Memphis and a loss in the finals would sure make Selection Sunday a nail biting day.

I have no problem with beating Cinci and Temple being necessary conditions for an at large bid. It is perfectly appropriate.
