my guess - He will not be let go at Ohio State, Football is much bigger than academics at OSU. I doubt that anything will be done - maybe a suspension for a non-conference cake-walk. At many schools, this would not be tolerated. But, at others, football is bigger than "school" . when you win at 85% or whatever his win % is at Ohio State, it will take more than this to be dismissed. The standards are not equal.

He was gone...until he pulled out his cock and made his move. Now he is fine.

Question: is football bigger than academics or “school” at dear ole NU?

It better be.

When was the last time 90,000 fans showed up to watch a kid take a chemistry test?

Maybe I’m reading it wrong but the OP seems to indicate that the situation at OSU is unique.

I suspect if Urb was at NU with the same record of success the reaction of Husker fans to the situation would mirror those at OSU.

Yep that big 3 natty championships cock and threw admin under the bus, got ole Zackies mom on board to interview and say ex DiL is a pyscho. Urb slithered back in the grass and is safe and sound.

For all the reasons the OP suggested, I was never convinced he was gone, UM is the second best person at his job on the entire freaking planet. You don't fire people like that without proof you did something really bad, and even then you have to lie about it or attempt a cover up, and not just to the press.

So did she punch herself make the bruises or have someone do it for her just to get even with her looser husband? If this is true why was urb startled and lied at media days. It's no wonder women are even reluctant to report a rape, there drug through the mud made to look bad its their fault

Wonder how this Ohio State fan/writer got access to these mothers? Yes, Urban's counter attack is in full force. How dare us question the great man? What a scum bag Urban Meyer is. He kept Zach Smith on staff and lied for him solely because he is believed to be a great recruiter. And Urban's arrogance is so strong that he didn't think anything would ever be done about it. He could have fired Smith a long time ago and had his pick of many other recruiters to bring on board, but Urban figured he didn't need to and of course, Urban apparently does not believe domestic abuse is a serious thing.

I wondered this as well in another thread. The guy who broke this news has authored 4 books, all on Ohio State football, one of them titled "What it Means to be a Buckeye," with a foreword from Urban Meyer. If you want to look impartial, have someone else break this news. As it happens, it doesn't sound impartial at all, and could even look like Ohio State is firing up the propoganda machine to turn the tide in UM's favor so that they keep him as coach.

If Urban was able to coordinate all that, he's a freaking genius.

Coordinate what? Realizing he's bigger than an old AD and getting his mentors daughter to defend her son and disparage her ex DiL? Yeah real hard.

If the committee looks into the Florida assault and sees the Urban cover-up for the sake of his mentor Earle Bruce (Smith's grandpa) then the committee really has no choice but to let him go ...

The AD will have to be let go then. They have Title IX issues to deal with so SOMEONE has to go. They are required to report these issues and that doesn't stop at the AD's office from what I have read. I also thing Mrs. Smith has a HUGE lawsuit she will wage and win against OSU. Meyer saved his job by passing the buck. So we know the "buck"eye doesn't stop at the HC!

You're assuming that they will be objective.

Urb probably lied in that statement to save his ***...- my guess is he is trying to pass the buck and if they look deep enough it will lead them back to florida and a history of urban coverups

She has no grounds for a t9 lawsuit since the incidents did not occur (that we know) on tosu property or at a tosu sponsored event.

She has no grounds but university employees are supposed to report possible domestic violence cases that involve staff to the university. Urban had a choice. Throw Gene Smith under the bus or his wife. His wife will be next.

His wife doesnt need to report, she is not in a supervisory position while Urban was.
She didnt even need to report per tosu policy. Pretty sure she is safe.

Investigation may drag out longer than 2 weeks according to OSU president. But one interesting quote from him:

Drake said. "I'm going to wait until I know those things before I make conclusions. I've been doing my best possible job to keep an open mind. As I said, stay tuned."

It’s hard not to be cynical here and think that they’re just pushing it out further and further so that when they keep him it’s not a shock.

Agreed. And I mean it basically has already died down and has basically became an afterthought for most.

I just thought his word choice of ‘doing my best to keep an open mind’ was interesting. Makes it sound like he already has some possible strong feelings. And he ultimately decides the fate of UM.
