"now that I’m interim head coach, I feel like it’s my duty and responsibility to maintain the character and the integrity of our locker room."

Not maintaining character and integrity?
How nasty was that hooker? Or did Pegues know the owner of the convenient store he robbed?
Maybe Williams was the problem and Mack was to hesitant to do anything about it.

That statement “Now that IM head coach”…. He’s tired of the mess and is going g to start cleaning it up.

Either way, the chaos continues at lil bro.

Color me shocked that the new interim coach at UL sees the need to adjust the character of his team.

It's a damn shame he couldn't have done some of that as an ASSISTANT coach. LOL
Man, I’ve been there. One of the first jobs I took was so awful. I was in charge of a small group and none of them. And I mean none of them wanted to be there. Every decision had to be run through my supervisor. Yet he complained to me that I wasn’t acting empowered enough. But make one decision that was ok, but he didn’t agree with? 45 minute meeting. I got tired of caring and my boss decided to lecture me about work ethic. I put in my notice. He was shocked.

Thats probably where Mack was. He was just over it. Not saying it’s right, but man, we’ve all been there. At some point its just is like “Im done. Please fire me.”

Well, the coach has my respect for taking a stand when it clearly wouldn't be a popular one. But integrity isn't very high on the list of priorities for UofL fans. They want Rick and Jurich back, integrity be damned. He may lose this interim job over this decision.
That would be delicious. The memes would fly.

I happened to be listening to this guy on the post game radio after their loss to Duke and I have to say I came away really impressed. Loved his attitude and how he handled himself.

Funny thing is, I didn't see too many of their fans criticizing Williams when he wouldn't back Mack at the press conference because they wanted Mack out. Now they're piling on MW and calling him a 'cancer'. Maybe he is, but it seems a bit two faced to me.

Didn't see the bad calls, but Louisville is a "new money" conference member, so the ACC is never going to protect them or side with them over Tobacco Road. That's what happens when you bounce from league to league and drag about 17 scandals behind you. The conference probably secretly hates them but can't afford to let the Big10 have them.
