Thank god we have next season to look forward to because this season is going to be brutal. It honestly pains me to watch us. Our offense is pathetic and we’re starting to see it carry over on defense now.

And before anyone tries to revisit this post if/when we make a big run, it doesn’t change the fact that this is the truth.

It’s quietly a young team, and so it will take Pike a little ways into the season to get them firing I think. A lot is being asked of Simpson, he’s only a sophomore. jMike a freshman. Gavin a freshman. 2 transfers in. Our veteran leaders are Cliff and Oscar .. neither speak English that great. The chemistry on this team will take some time to gel

We’re not a young team. Cliff / Hyatt / Noah / Oskar/ Austin Williams are all upper classmen. Problem is Cliff is awful as us Noah.
We played better in 1st half with Wolf in and Cliff on the bench.

This is life in the transfer portal era. There are 3000 players in college football since it opened a couple of weeks ago. Teams will struggle November into December if you don't have enough returning players come back. 5 returned only one guard sophomore Derek Simpson, 4 new this year. It will take time vs live action. Guard position/chemistry is the most important position for any team. We've always had at least 2-3 returning guards every year.

It's not a young team just inexperienced playing with each other.

Interestingly enough, there seem to be a fair number of teams that have gotten off to a good start, even though they are integrating new players.

Unfortunately this just doesn’t look like a BIG10 caliber or constructed team.

Extremely small and we play soft.

We can’t rebound.

We can’t make layups or hit open shots.

Our defensive has only been good in small spurts.

Could be a long year.

lol a lot is asked of a sophomore.
Next year we are asking freshman to get us to the final 4 !!

Really disappointed in Cliff. How this man getting 4 rebounds. Oscar got more. Fine guards aren’t throwing lobs and getting you the ball. Get rebound tho.

Gave up 19 second chance points up to the time I stopped listening.
How many O rebounds did WF get?

Cliff is sitting a great deal because he is not that good.
All Big Ten..........?????

At this point, why not? It's not working playing the rotation we are playing. Oskar played well though as well although he turned down a few 3's I thought he should have pulled the trigger one. He understands rotations and his experience shows on the court

That's an insult to that team! You think this team is gonna win two rounds of the Big Ten tournament? I wish we had athletic guards like CS and even 18 year old Geo. Hell I wish we had a scorer/rebounder like DeShawn Freeman

That's becoming a trend. Cliff has not been good this season. Maybe his heart isn't in it. Idk.

I honestly can't believe I was recently wondering what in the hell we'd do next year if Cliff didn't return.
One of my buds suggested that maybe the Scarlet Knights had done too much celebrating the earlier Dylan Harper news.
