He only threw 1 inning in 2023, which I assume means he will be eligible for a retroactive redshirt once he transfers, since the Ivy League doesn't recognize redshirt status.
He appears to have some control issues, with 6 HBP, 7 WP and 13 BB in 22.1 IP last year. On the plus side, he struck out 26, and opponents hit just .214 against him. Perfect Game clocked his fastball at 91 four years ago.

Tyler struggled at JMU last year, and transferred to Walters State. He made 7 appearances for WS during their fall season, and was a strikeout machine... 16 K in 7.1 IP... which included striking out the side in his 1 inning pitched against us. He also threw 3.2 scoreless innings in the Cape Cod summer league.
This guy seems really good. Great replacement for Jake or Gavin.

Tuscola ace pitcher Amos Rich is officially continuing his baseball career in Chapel Hill — and his collegiate career is starting earlier than expected.

The staff thinks he's good enough to contribute right away, or they think they need an additional arm?

I was talking to a baseball buddy who is well connected in the Wilmington greater area. Rhett Britt from Topsail name come up in a conversation, he mentioned that the HS hitters in the area don't fear him and the big moments seem to be too big. Hope he has a great career for us but was just an interesting tidbit.
