Based on this MLB tour video, I thought it might be a fun exercise during the dog days of summer to discuss, debate and promote everyone's favorite Diamond Heel uniform combos.

Personally the Carolina Blue pinstripes on white tops and pants pops the most for me, but I would love to see some of the crazy old uniforms get rotated back in.

Once we get options, we'll run a poll on the Diamond Heels choices and see what the Inside Carolina community thinks.

Least favorite - and talked about this with Forbes last season - white name, navy numbers top......navy name would work...but both, no no no.....lol

Favorite is the all blue pinstripes.
Least favorite is the blue with white name and navy numbers…little league esque.
I want us to brink back a Navy uniform.

It's always interesting to hear what the student-athletes think of uniforms, equipment, bats, protective equipment. So pretty much every time I got a chance in an interview, I'd hit a whole series of questions.

On that note, what would you ask one of the Diamond Heels that you think we might not think of?

All Carolina Blue pinstripes are classic. Everybody I know that saw them last year commented how nice those are.

I would like to play up our NY Yankees connection with a Navy Blue pinstripes home uniform of course with the NC replacing the NY logo.

Navy blue hat with a white NC logo.

Some of those uniforms are awful: Vandy's and UVa's "pinstripes," on black and on orange, respectively, come immediately to mind.

Some are classics, such as those of Arkansas and UCLA.

And one is fascinating: Campbell's "Nobodies" (from nowhere) uniforms. Just putting one of those on must put a chip on your shoulder. Roll Humps!
