Hey guys, I'm new to the thread. I am a diehard UCONN b-ball fan, and I have been silently following the football team ever since they made the jump to division 1 football. One thing that has always perplexed me is UCONN's inability to recruit the state of Connecticut. I know that the state doesn't produce a mass quantity of high level recruits. I also understand losing out to bigger schools like (Penn State, Michigan, Notre Dame).However, I cannot understand how we are constantly losing recruiting battles with Boston College, Rutgers, and Syracuse. Is anyone plugged into the Connecticut recruiting scene? What is Randy doing?, because it looks like he is not developing any type of relationship with the high school coaches. He has been spending allot of time recruiting southern players and that has not yielded results. Edsall needs to try and win some of these local/regional recruiting battles. Look at the recruits from early signing day, not 1 recruit from CT so far.....

If Boston College, Pitt, and Purdue can roll into New York city and land some recruits...I am more than sure Edsall can.
