I'm surprised more teams, especially non-elite conference, haven't bailed already.....

Who could they have even played? Aren't they league-less now? (I guess Independent is the proper way to say that lol)
yes, Independent now, but they had a couple games against ACC teams (who cannot play them now), one against Maine (whose league is cancelled), and the rest were against G5 programs, who may or may not play this year.

Agreed. I'm still pessimistic we will see more than 2 weeks of games. I will guess 4 weeks of NFL games.

It baffles me that europe is playing sports and somehow we cant figure it out. Restrictions in most of these european cities are the same as here. The NFL, MLB and others cant follow soccer league protocals?

I know, me too. Kids start getting sick and it'll be lights out. A colleague's daughter just got out of the hospital. She's in her 20's.

I know. I now know many more people infected including several of the kids that were at that summer camp in metro Atlanta that has been in the national news.

I'm driving cross country to Denver next week and I must admit I'm somewhat concerned even though I will be as safe as possible.

That is a very likely outcome.
1) Kids go back to school early September
2) college and pro football games start
3) cases start spiking late September
4) deaths start spiking late October
5) colleges cancel football late October
6) Pros cancel football mid-November
7) Trump loses election
8) Cases spike again Mid-December
9) Deaths spike again late December
10) Trump goes AWOL to Mar a Lago early January

You left out one:

7a) fake vaccine saves the day now that Trump is out of office
