We should have double their score. It doesn't help that we let the guy park in the corner and shoot 3 point shots.

Only deficit I've seen so far in Taplin's game is he's playing too far off his man on D.

From listening to Felton on pre game, it seems like we are playing off on D because of new rule changes. Going for turnovers instead on fg % defense.

Too many open 3s. This was a problem last year as well.

UCA is terrible defensively. We're getting whatever look we want when we're not lazy with the entry passes.

It's the only thing they did well last year. We've played too much zone today.

That ref doesn't like Haith. He kept warning him and refused to look at video. Just awful.

No clue why TK is redshirting. Stupid decision. Could be the difference b/n NITand NCAA.

Tulsa does not look like an NCAA team.

Defense = bad. 3 point D continues to suck under Haith.

Too many jump shots on offense.

My thoughts from gamecast/box score...

Birt is taking a lot of damn shots.
LOVE the 4 steals each from Woodard and Shaq.
SHAQ ON FTS WTH?!? And missed a lot of fgs.
Dre perfect from the field?? Curtis and Swanny also great %.
Smitty had a bunch of assists.
Yay almost scoring 100!

Also ditto those saying redshirting Edogi isn't realistic.

This is NOT directed at Junkie or anyone else who for geographic or other legitimate reasons couldn't be at the game today, but .......the large # of missing fans missed a very entertaining game today. There were great passes, great dunks, many nice 3 pointers, some double pump reverse lay ups, more great dunks! Did I mentioned the great posterizing dunks by Shaq & Birt !

Today's second half felt like a throw back to our exciting games of years ago. The only disappointment was our missed shots late that kept us from hitting 100. Very fun game to watch !

I Just hope a team like Wichita St., with or without Van Vleet, doesn't bottle up Shaq, like teams of similar caliber did last season(SMU, Uconn, etc.)

If he tastes like coca cola, can't hit any jumpers, and we can't find anybody new and/or old to take up the slack, we could look extremely bad. Don't want to be a negative nancy, but I'm waiting till after Teusday to pass any negative or positive assessments. I don't expect that we have to win for me to be happy bout the game. But I do expect that we have to be competitive till damn near the end of the game for me to be happy with our progress.

Can't blame you for that. The losses to OU, OSU, and Wichita State last year weren't disappointing because they were losses. They were disappointing because we weren't even competitive for a half.
