Talking about how "The good guys win too" and about how Freeze doesn't "salt the wounds of his opponents at their most vulnerable moments" and how his team plays for "love for each other rather than hatred for the opponent"

OM fans should listen to their coach. He made good points. He will be gone next year if not this as his"ministry" will be needed elsewhere. Sooner or later somebody will drop a figure in front of him that he can't resist and OM can't match.

I threw up a bit in my mouth. When things are said that are so outrageous such as in this article, karma usually comes back to bite it in the arse. Bide your time, this article will be a lot of fun soon.

It's annoying but not as annoying as the inability to beat him and shut him up.

That's rich.

I thought this part was especially funny:

"Whatever suits your taste is fine, but the two head coaches definitely project contrasting styles when stepping into the spotlight of victory.A few years ago (2010), Mullen stood inside the visitors' locker room inside Vaught-Hemingway Stadium and declared his Bulldogs would never lose to Ole Miss again. His comments were made as Mississippi State's administration and fan base were gloating over their success in the rivalry, even going as far as paying to put one of those stick-it-in-your face billboards up on the main drag in Oxford.

Because Ole Miss wouldn't do that, right?

What's really amazing to me is how many people eat that **** up. I'd like to think I'm realistic enough that if he was our coach, I'd at least realize and be able to admit that he's a snake-oil salesman.

I'm not Freeze fan, but I thought what he said about both schools was pretty cool. The author of the article is just a hypocrite.

An individual purchased that billboard in NOLA, not the school. I'd say that's a little different than the university purchasing a billboard in the rival's small town.

I can see where you guys feel the article is over the top, but its hard to deny that you guys opened the door for it by going a little overboard starting in 2010. Freeze had nice things to say about MSU after the game. He took the high road, yet most here will have awful things to say abbout him personally because of the article that a fansite put out.

Sorry, I can't read that just given the headline. If the good guys are those that cheat more in recruiting and take on criminals and thugs into their program because they are good football players then I guess I'm lost on what good guys are. Mark Richt is a true good guy and he just got shown the door.

I guess you have not heard about the Co-Ed right?

Do you really believe that? If so, how do you substaniate your belief? Let me guess, you read it on a MSU fanboard and cognitive bias prevents you from believing otherwise.

I've always thought Dan Mullen was an *** (and I don't expect you to like Hugh Freeze either), but I'd never stoop to creating or repeating/perpetuating a horrible lie about him like that. Congrats, that's about as bad as it gets.

Where did you get your information that Dan Mullen was an "***". What a terrible thing to say about such a great man.

I get my info from this dude named Coach34 who has sources all up in the OM athletic department. You need to open your eyes.

You would probably have a better idea of what's on MSU boards than most here.

Or maybe he works out with Hugh?

It's simple. We fanboard better than they fanboard. We've fanboarded better 3 out of the past 4 years, and that one year they won was a fluke.

You should back away from this topic quickly and quietly.

People know her name, and if you keep pissing people off, some dumbass will post it.

I think it's terrible, and I sincerely hope no one stoops that low, because I don't think she deserves it. But come on -- either you know it happened and are just carrying out your Rebel Defense orders today, or you really don't believe the Right Reverend (*GASP*) could do something like that, in which case I'm guessing you also send money to Jimmy Swaggart Ministries.

We all make mistakes. Hugh should just get it over with. Confess, repent, then go and sin no more. I think I've read that somewhere.

Florida offered him $5.5 million last year and he turned it down. I live in Florida and that was backed up by two of my closest friends who are huge "Bull Gators" and very close with the AD. I've heard his parents and family all live within thirty miles of Oxford. He ain't leaving unless they fire him. If he was ever gonna leave, he would have accepted the Gator offer last year. Freeze and Dan both got similar raises last year just above the $4 million mark. Every coach in the SEC West makes over $4 million, so that was gonna happen anyway. They both deserve it! I still think we have the better coach between the two of them! Dan is the best coach we've ever had! Hope we can keep him.
By the way.....State and OM can match any offer that comes around. The ESPN money is a game changer in that regard. We are now getting about $27 million in TV money. That figure was only about $5 million just a few years ago. So we and OM can match any offer if we want to.
