It may be a blessing in disguise. It'll allow other players extended minutes this season. With a healthy Scaife, the 2017-18 season shapes up to be a pretty good one.

The fact that the women's program is at that point is very distressing. Are we looking at 5 years with no women's NCAA bid?

Let's just try and think positive and feel RU WBB will be alright.
I'm thinking positive about two of three RU programs WBB & MBB while feeling
RU FB might be down but it's not out of hope for it becoming a good to great program in the future.

If they dont make it this season this will only be their 3rd season not making the NCAA tournament. This hurt for this season but offers the underclassmen a chance to really grow. Parker, Sanders, and Harris really showed flashes of great potential last season.

First of all what a tough break for Tyler and CVS. Hopefully Tyler can get healthy and be alright. this is pretty devestating news for a program that underacheived the last several years most notably last year with two top 25 WNBA draft selections and another one in Scaife if she was a senior. This year would be a rough year with Scaife so now without her and not alot of proven talent, it could be really ugly

I have faith RU WBB will have another winning season and this year make the NCAA Tourney.
I think the last Dance was in the 2011-12 season , but at least we can be proud of RU WBB not having a losing season since the 2001-2 season.
But to make the NCAAs RU has to improve on last years 18-14 regular season record
and go further in the NCAAs then the 2014-15 22-9 ( regular season ) team that wound up losing to UConn after beating the Hall in the Dance that season.

Without Scaife it will be hard, but I won't say it can't be done.
I'll say it will be a little harder but all it will take is for someone to step up and do as good as a job while the rest of the team play the type of game that will make RU a force in the B1G.

My bad on thinking it would be 5 years without a bid. I looked at CVS' page on wikipedia and it did not list any post season tournament for 2014-15.
