I was looking at Tulane’s roster and researching their players and I really got PO’d.

Their top 4 scorers transferred from Georgia, Kansas, URI and North Florida and guess what? They all became immediately eligible. And our 2 transfers, whom we could have really used this year, are in street clothes every game.

Rippin, in 3, 2, 1.
They also got one of the transfers from Arkansas and he is immediately eligible as well. That's the one that really chaps me.

Troy Dannen (Tulane AD) has gotten rave reviews from the basketball fans in New Orleans with his ability to get all those players immediately eligible, an especially hard thing to do with Tulane's academic requirements. "Perfect Paperwork"

how tough is it to ask another AD what their application looked like and copy and paste?

on the flip side...if you were an institution like the NCAA, would you wield power to the extent that two identical players should be treated differently, even though their situations are identical?

With the exception that Arkansas had to play Tulsa this year and not play Tulane. BTW, this is a sorry excuse for the NCAA to make a decision about a kid's eligibility and the only exception would be transferring to another school in the same conference. KES' waiver should have been decided solely on the merits of KES' individual request and reason to transfer from the school. Which would have put him squarely in line with 3 other players who left and were granted immediate eligibility. Arkansas' feelings on the issue should not matter unless the player was calling Arkansas' basketball program unethical and the reason he was transferring. Arkansas has a chance to defend itself there. If a kid says they want to transfer because of the coaching change, then so be it and the NCAA has been particularly generous in approving waivers based on that the last 3-4 years.

Goodness. How many transfers do they freaking have? I guess it's just par for the course these days.

It is really disturbing to think that our athletic admin are so unaware of how to take care of simple tasks. This is not a complex issue but you do need to have staff that prepares and submits on time with effort.
