Our Net is still in the 100s - we are in right now as an auto qualifier. We have to win tourney. No way we can make at large. I do not understand our 100+net though. We didnt have a tough schedule but others in the league have had a pretty bad schedule and ranked higher with a worse record.

No ****, and its a garbage metric with a formula that is not public knowledge. RPI isn't perfect, but at least everyone knows what it is, and it is completely based on wins and losses unlike the net which is influenced by point diff.
Someone posted a link to an article of ACC coaches bitching about how the Big XII is gaming the NET system by playing awful non-conference opponents and getting rewarded by beating the hapless sisters of St. Augustine by 40 pts.
I think we need more to exploit the system. It won't change until they recognize it is a huge problem.
The problem with that is if you are a team that needs to be challenged early because of youth and/or inexperience together. If you are a team that needs this in order to be better later on, then you suffer no matter which way you schedule.
The net formula is out there. I even posted it one time in one of the threads. It’s public knowledge, you just have to publicly search for it.
Based on the visible metrics, minus overall record, that's accurate. Ladies need to take advantage of the double bye by resting, watching film, and prepping to win this thing and make it to the dance.
