The Tulsa football team had two-a-day workouts on Wednesday and Friday, taking Thursday off. Both days featured a usual morning practice session followed by an afternoon session that concentrated on special teams.

One of the things i wanted to see in the Saturday scrimmage was what the snapper looked like and the velocity/accuracy of the long snaps. They looked very good. That vacancy looks like its been filled.

Looks to me like the defense has improved. Longer faster corners and safeties. The LBers should be somewhat improved more experience and depth that is faster and bigger. Defensive end is loaded and talented. Defensive tackle is where my concern is after the two starters size drops off big time unless the true freshmen can play. Stevenson the big 320 pound tackle may need to play some along with Jimmy Nelson who looks like he is going to play tackle. Nelson is listed at 248 pounds but strong legs and his frame looks to be able to carry lot more. Each of the guys made some plays inside with Stevenson getting a nice push. Holding ground in the middle is key to the inside backers making the play.
IMO the defense is improved enough to add two wins to the regular season over last year for a 8 and 4 season.
