I’m not sure I like oil tanker seizure **** but I don’t really know much about the history as to how that all developed.

that said, I wasn’t a fan of last June’s Iran strike but it seems to have worked out so far.

Unlike the Left, everything he does seems designed to help us long term instead of destroy us! :sneaky:

What's up with the Left's open borders, bans on fracking and off shore drilling, funding the Iranian Mullahs, and doing nothing about the Russian build up of a massive invasion force on their border with Ukraine? Let's not even discuss allowing China to buy US farmland, and dismantle our domestic manufacturing capacity.

Clinton passed the last federal crime bill. Trump is enforcing it.
Trump is enforcing the immigration policy that Clinton pushed through Congress.
Trump arrested Maduro based on the warrant issued by the Biden administration.

Most Republicans won't admit it and no Democrats will ever admit that a lot of Trump's biggest policies are/were Democrat policies. Trump ran on them and people like this new indy character abandoned all their traditional beliefs because Orange Man Bad above all else. Trump has these idiots protesting against wildly popular traditional Democrat policies. It is unreal and demonstrates the maturity level of our politicians, media and voters.

What you said here is true but Democrats by policy don't support making America stronger. Most Democrats did not support Clinton's crime bill, and he only adopted it to save his flagging re-election campaign. Same thing with Welfare reform, which he signed under pressure from Republicans but against his own party's wishes.

Same thing on immigration. Democrats have opposed almost every plan aimed at trying to solve the problem of uncontrolled migration by closing off our open border and developing a comprehensive immigration policy, including full vetting of everyone seeking entry into America.

What is the case for making America stronger with open borders? Democrat policy makers oppose almost all efforts to either enforce expanding our border controls, or restricting the mass entry of unvetted foreigners into this country!

Look no further than the reckless policies of the previous Democrat administration, which virtually looked the other way while literally millions of unvetted foreign nationals were allowed to illegally cross our border and enter the country.

While it's true Biden issued a 25 million dollar bounty on Maduro's head, he did nothing to bring him to Justice and again looked the other way while the Cartels ran their drug boats to America with the Communist Dictator's support. Compare their actions against Maduro to Trump's. Biden even went so far as to restrict the majority of our oil purchases from Venezuela and allow the Chi Coms to replace us as their biggest customers!

Trump's major policy success so far have been universally opposed by Democrats, even if they initially claimed support of them.

In most cases Democrats have stood in direct opposition to virtually every major policy initiative Trump has sponsored or successfully implemented.

@Socal just posting this for clarification on Clinton's crime bill

(from AI sources)

President Bill Clinton signed the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994 into law, a bill that was largely written by then-Senator Joe Biden, a Democrat. The bill received broad support from Democrats in Congress, as well as some bipartisan backing.

  • Initial Passage: The bill passed with overwhelming support initially. The Senate passed an early version by a vote of 95-4.
  • Final Passage: The conference report for the final bill passed in the Senate with a vote of 61 to 38 (55 Democrats and 6 Republicans in favor) and in the House with a vote of 235 to 195.
I was incorrect suggesting most Democrats opposed it, however shortly after it's passage many Democrats expressed fierce opposition to it, especially in the Congressional Black caucus

Congressional Black Caucus (CBC): The CBC was initially divided and negotiated hard for more emphasis on social services and prevention programs, but a majority of its members ultimately voted in favor of the final bill as a political compromise.

FYI more on the politics around the crime bill

Not exactly. you are assuming the political parties don't evolve and are applying today's standards to them. For example, your statement about the Democrat support for the 1994 crime bill is wrong. In the house, the Democrats voted188-64 to pass the bill while the Republicans only voted 46-131. There were 95 yes votes in the Senate so it's safe to assume nearly all Dems (and Repubs) voted for it. Fun fact: Biden drafted the Bill for the Senate. Further, Clinton's re-election campaign had nothing to do with it as the bill passed Congress in 1993 and signed into law the following year. More than 2 years before the next Presidential Election.

I agree with many of your comments regarding the Democrats today, but they were not always like this. In fact, most were just the opposite of the party today and are on record saying it (Pelosi, Clinton, Schumer, Sanders, Biden, etc). Clinton's party wouldn't have stood for a lot of the Democrat policies today. (Well, except maybe the kickbacks and bribes).

I agree with your last comment as it applies today, not the Democrat party of yesterday. Remember in the 200s, Trump was a registered Democrat and heavily contributed to Democrats. Look at how many former Dems are in his cabinet and advisory team.

Good points. Kamala Harris' '24 campaign was a microcosm of Democrat flip flops you mentioned.

For no tax on tips when she previously made the key vote passing legislation increasing IRS agents to crack down on them, for fracking when she opposed it during her initial Democrat party primary run, and she claimed to support stronger border enforcement then but helped former DHS head Alejandro Mayorkis usher in the largest influx of illegals into our country in history!

You also make an excellent point about Trump. He was loved by Democrats prior to his 2015 decision to run as President, opposing many of the things Democrats had previously supported!

Agree 100%
Trump didn't create this winning agenda, he simply ran on good policies created by others on both sides. At the time we wasn't headed for a socialists hell hole as many cities are now . History shows giving free stuff will never work .
No part of the constitution states that my good choices should pay for your bad choices..... just states we both have choices and both shall reap the benefits or consequences.
