Wait to you hear today’s outcome of his session with more Drug companies. Dems just got crushed. Next up, he is inviting the insurance companies to White House next week and will work insurance prices down.
Yup, and mortgage financing is next. Working with some major lenders to offer 1st time buyers incentives and discounts for buying long term fixed rate mortgages.

I remember. As I understand it though, these won't be loans given to unqualified buyers, rather incentives to encourage reluctant qualified buyers to get into and stay in the market.

For example, lenders building a portion of closing costs into an amortization schedule on the loan. Incentives to use equity to buy down principle after holding the mortgage for at least 10 years, and 35 or even 45 year mortgages to spread out payments over a longer period of time which lowers principle when combined with escrow for taxes and insurance.

Maybe they are reluctant cause they can't afford it.

In some cases that's true, but what's keeping most well qualified 1st time buyers on the sidelines are the prohibitive upfront costs required to borrow. Interest rates, closing costs, and PMI among others.

Trump is counting on more buyers also prompting builders to increase supply which would lower starting home prices, or at least offer more incentives through equity sharing agreements and interest refinancing options after holding the property for at least 10 years to encourage more folks to at least get into the market and hopefully stay in it.

It's a good plan as I understand it.

People thinks a first time home should be a mansion on the hill ....
Had conversation with daughter before she bought her first home . She was looking for dream home with pockets for starter home . She was gonna wait till she saved enough for dream home . She bought starter sold for a nice profit, bought second home and now she is looking to build dream home .... she thanked me

I paid $2.12 for gas today in Charles Town
lol okey dokey

as of 12/20/2025:

As of mid-December 2025, average gas prices in West Virginia are around $2.80 per gallon for regular, with prices generally falling as winter sets in, though some reports show prices closer to $3.00, varying by county from the mid-$2.40s to over $3.15. These prices are below the national average, and you can find real-time updates on sites like AAA.

That's essentially the idea behind getting more 1st time homebuyers into the market. Over time real estate values appreciate. Equity provides liquidity for either refinancing or moving up to purchase a larger home.

With advances in construction robotics building low cost modular starter homes and interest rates coming down, the hope is more affordable units can both be financed and made available by builders at better rates for well qualified 1st time buyers.

I have real estate options in my investment portfolio, and brokers at my investment house are bullish on real estate. They see the market booming because more folks with rising incomes are ready to buy homes, and the market is primed for adding more inventory to meet the anticipated greater demand.

That's exactly why Trump is meeting with major lenders to encourage them to start enticing buyers through offering attractive financing instruments that can serve this expected increased demand.

For those of you interested in the robotics modular homebuilding revolution.

The Future is Robotic: Transforming the Modular Home Industry

excerpt:
In the rapidly evolving world of construction, one truth is becoming increasingly clear: the future is robotic. As the modular home industry anticipates unprecedented demand for affordable, high-quality housing, automation stands out as the beacon of innovation and efficiency:

  • Precision and Quality, robots will offer unparalleled precision and consistency, key factors in producing high-quality modular homes.
  • Addressing Labor Shortages, automation will step in as a vital solution, enabling companies to maintain high production levels with fewer human resources
  • Robots can work around the clock, assembling modular components with a level of efficiency that human workers simply cannot match.
All of these components lower the cost and rapidly increases the supply of new homes, making them affordable, and offering them to buyers at lower over all prices, and in greater numbers than traditional homes constructed on specs.

I paid $2.29. Much better than when Pedo-Joe was in office, no?

Prices have fallen dramatically since Trump took office. You should be happy about that instead of being angry.

The one thing you will never hear from anyone on the Left is what their plan is to make gas prices lower? All they'll ever do is complain about Trump, which tells you by definition they have nothing else better to offer.

Nothing.
