There is some smoke that Trilly Donovon is hinting that Trey Thompson, 2026 top 100 PF, is going to reclassify to 2025 and commit to Iowa. No idea to the validity of that rumor.

P.S. Mods - I hope this doesn't violate this forum's rules. If so, please delete as we're all just getting acclimated to this new forum.

No need to reference other sites. Its really Trilly that hinted it and we have some really good reporting up on it on the front page yesterday. Stay tuned.

Ben McCollum on how Trey Thompson's transition to Iowa has been:

“Really good, particularly offensively. We knew he’d be able to do things offensively right away. He’s bouncy. He’s shooting a high percentage, finishes at the rim. I think defensively is the hardest part to pick up, and how quickly he can do that. And what positions he can guard at this level that quickly. But for a kid his age — he should be a senior in high school — what’s most impressive is his acclimation to being at a university that’s 30,000-plus students. How he engages with everybody. He’ll shake anyone’s hands. He’s such a good representative. He’s a kid that can be your leader into the future of the University of Iowa men’s basketball.”
