Is it me or is he bigger / more athletic than was said to be? I was watching a few of his highlights and there were times where he would just poster someone at the rim. I think he has been getting overlooked by many with the RJ commitment. If he can do that along with a few of the things that made Tyus so great we're looking at another great Duke PG.

If being ranked in most peoples Top ten is being over looked I guess so. He is going to be very good and plays very much like Tyus does. I don’t know who is coaching point guards in Apple Valley MN, but they both are well above their years. With the wing talent coming with him, he might set set a freshman assist record at Duke.
When discussing the 2018 class I hear so much about RJ and Cam. Much less so about Tre. So yes even as a top 10 recruit it's very possible to be overlooked when there are guys ranked above going to the same school.
I think Cam and R.J. being two of the top three players in the country probably has something to do with it. But trust me, Coach K knows what he’s getting with Tre.
To your original post, yes, Tre is a little bigger/longer than Tyus as the same stage. He’s probably a little better defensively, too. Of course, Tyus wasn’t always the most efficient defender we’ve seen either.
While they’re similar players with great court moxie and saviness, they’re a little different too. Tyus craved the moment. So does Tre, but it’s different. He might not score three possessions in a row, but rather make a great defensive play, throw the perfect outlet pass or collect 10 boards in a game. But trust me, we’re getting a great one!

High school rankings are for NBA scouts. The top high school PGs are gold in college, and to me mean more in terms of college wins and losses than the elite bigs. I value Tre just as much as the other two. Just look at how Duval makes the whole team look good.
I think Mr. and Mrs. Jones get some credit too.
And I think Trevon is gunning for that record this season.
