Going to be a wild ride this year. We have needs to address, but also have to get down to the 105.

Looks like Juedy plans to stay:

The 105 man roster reduction is kind of messed up. How many kids will be forced out of college football? A lot is my guess. Thousands.

I think we are going to see a vast amount of changes at NU - both players and coaches. Just hoping the good outweighs the bad which I expect we might see more than we want on that front.

They can transfer to a school where they might get playing time.

If they aren't good enough to get playing time on a 6-6 team then they probably shouldn't be on Nebraska's roster to begin with.

Geez it must suck that this 6 win team crushed your buffaloes

I’m not talking about Nebraska. I mean the system is going to vastly reduce the number kids that have an opportunity to play college football. That’s messed up. Many kids that walk on and play because they just want to be there will be told they no longer can. Which will spill down into fcs and division 2. Somewhere down stream kids will no longer be on a team. It’s messed up and unnecessary.

Is Jeudy worth keeping? I’m not sure. I like the younger talent and he’s never done anything. Helps for depth, but he’s never really produced or moved forward.

There needs to be quality depth at that position and I would say Jeudy is quality depth if he doesn’t make a big jump.

Some kids will be forced out of college totally if they don’t want to borrow money. Thats life.

Juedy is an experienced big body who has done his job well when he’s played

Wake me when next season starts. Everything between now and then is just a big tease. I am still seething over the Iowa game. So right now I wouldn’t mind seeing the roster cut to 0 and we start from scratch.

That one stung but Iowa can’t feel great about their team. Changing OCs did nothing for their offense. At some point they’re going to run out of luck playing the way they do. Their QB fumbled twice on one play and both times the ball bounced back up in to his hands. Odds are that that isn’t going to keep happening for them.

But it’s only life because of an unnecessary rule change. Why are they going to 105? There are zero issues with current roster sizes. Kids have picked their school so they could play football. Now there’s no room for them. Why? Because some adult somewhere said so.

Who cares about how Iowa feels about there team. All we got to see was our coaches and players find another creative way to lose. I swear this is a team that looks like money is on the line betting against themselves.. Over thrown td. Dropped passes for big gains. A lb touching a punt creating a live ball. A reverse called for Carter. Another bad snap and missed fg. My gawd this team is a joke and a comedy of errors

We can use some experience and production on the defensive line with the big departures

Yes, except sometimes guys don’t develop physically until they are in the program for a couple of years especially the big guys

105 definitely hurts walk-ons, but saving 5 positions for specialists, it gives you 4.5 bodies for every spot on the field. Knowing you can mix and match a little, it will be ok.

Definitely need to improve quality across the roster.

Behind Jeudy are a bunch of guys who haven’t done ****. Anyone who thinks we don’t need him knows nothing about football.

And don’t give the “young guys” **** either, unless they were a true frosh I don’t give a crap… I want dudes who can play now. This is the NIL/portal era. We lost Ty and Nash, that’s hard to replace. Keep Jeudy, get a DT in the portal and get Van Poppel and Jackson ready.

IMO biggest needs are a WR, OT, DT and CB1.

We could use other guys but those are absolute minimums

105 equates to the 85 limit and 20 walkons. It should be enough. Maybe you get 20 more guys more ready to contribute than walk ons.

Sledge, Tagaloa, Borchers, Murphy are young guys who could make a move on the D line next year. Davis is a stud.
