Who wants to watch that game? Especially when you know Rutgers will destroy Minnesota.

I enjoyed it personally.

I did. I loved every minute of it. I would have turned it off early with the big lead if the starters were left in. Seeing rarely used players have some or even a lot of success made if fun to watch

Dammit you’re 100% right. I’m a failure, and I will edit.

You were right originally. The Big East hired Tagliabue as a consultant around the time we got the B1G invite when he trashed Minnesota-Rutgers. What he did for the league aside from this I have no idea

thank you for this and **** Mike Tranghese

F Tranghese and F Meatball Marinato. So glad those losers are in our rear view mirror.

What's the story here?

It’s a reference to comments that Paul Tagliabue made back in 2010, when there were rumors that we were going to get invited to the Big Ten and leave the Big East. I still think that we should have a rivalry trophy with Minnesota called the Tagliabue Trophy.

Here is the article:
New York Times

I thought it was tennis?

My bad, it was HIS tennis game...

“One of the real challenges for the networks is to provide value, but you only provide value in markets where you provide traction,” he said. “Is Minnesota and Rutgers going to get a big rating on Long Island? Give me a break. Every game isn’t Michigan and Michigan State.”

He added, “Am I going to rush home from a tennis game on Saturday to watch Minnesota and Rutgers if I live on Long Island?”

I hope those LI Tennis Clubs have indoor courts. It's a bit too chilly to be playing outdoors.

No RU vs Minn better than RU vs Providence

[RUnTeX]

And it was almost definitely in reference to a Rutgers-Minnesota football game (given Tagliabue is an NFL guy and he mentions Saturday) rather than hoops, or any other sport. And with that said, this past fall's result of said matchup in football could have garnered a similar post but in Minnesota's favor obviously. 31-0 was a tough one to swallow. Last night was a bit of payback when viewed as both sports collectively.

F Tagliabue he was the visionary who hand picked Goodell the worst NFL commissioner in the history of the league!
