Took 2 of 3 against #24 South Carolina and moved down to #14 in the polls. RPI is #14 as well.
At 4-5 in the SEC, it doesnt get any easier this week as they travel to #5 Florida. They are going to have to find a way to take 2 of 3 from a team better than they are. You only play 24 conference games in SEC softball, and 4 of the 5 remaining series are against top 15 teams. They finish with Ole Miss at home, who is horrible but managed to take one from Tennessee this weekend.
I think a Top 15 RPI + a top 6 finish in the SEC will be what it takes to host a regional. Right now they have that #14 RPI, but they are 9th in the SEC standings. The two teams that are 7th and 8th are both in the top 10 (Tennessee and Arkansas). They are one game back of Arkansas and 1.5 games back of Tennessee (UT won the H2H series, though)
