Tourney wish list

If you knew we were going to win the title this year, and you can pick who we play, who would you select for each game?
I would pick the following:

1. Uconn
2. Ky
3. Unc
4. Maryland
5. Kansas
6. Gonzaga. Nothing against them, just like to avenge, and think it'd be a great finals

That's fine with the exception of unc. I really hope they go to the NIT but I also understand that if they win 18 -20 games and finish at least in the top 7 of the ACC they are going danceing. If that case I hope they dance one time and sit. OFC

I’d like to add, I never ever want to play UNC in the tournament, let alone the national title game. Too much at stake and it really changes the rivalry. It comes to a peak when you get that far. Look at Duke/Maryland. Things just weren’t the same after the Final Four meeting in 2001. The Nolan Smith/Dave Neal collision provided a small spark, but it really was heading downhill at that point. Mark me down as never wanting to play the Heels in the tournament.

I get where you're coming from, and don't disagree, but I think it would be a sweet win! And nobody they least like to have put them out more than us!!

I know. I just struggle with it. The rivalry wouldn’t die or anything, but it would just peak. I wouldn’t want that. It’s like The Walking Dead. The show peaked after the Governor. There was really no where else great you could go after that.

I get where you are coming from dukehokie, but if I could guarantee the win, I'd take UNC in the final. They would never be able to live that one down, no matter what else they do for the rest of history. I wouldn't care who else we played to get there if that would be the outcome. It would just be too sweet, and honestly the memory of that one game would take up too much memory to have any chance of remembering the rest of the tourney lol

For unc to advance far into the tourney they would have to have a good enough season to qualify and play pretty well. With the cheating program that they are they should be on probation and ineligible to participate. Don't want to see them have any success at all. Don't give a crap what it does to our rivilry. Dirty and shameful program. Worst of all time. OFC

Good thread
1. Kansas - last year, enough said.
2. UK- I’ll tell ya one thing, their fans are praying they don’t see this Duke bunch again.
3. UCONN- we should have 7 titles if not for those losers
4. Villanova- I find it annoying some people think Jay Wright is the next K.
5. Maryland by 90.

Not a fan of playing conference teams, especially UNC who play at least twice. Teams we have already played twice won’t be shocked by our athletes.
An average Syracuse team almost beat us in the sweet 16 last year.
