Tough to swallow

As a Rutgers fan we are use to morning like these but this one hurts a little more. Not nearly as gut wrenching of a loss as Houston but this feels like it might stick longer because it is the end of an era.

The last 3 years have been the most fun I’ve ever had as a sports fan. Truly a special group of players and I am proud I was able to root for them. Them+Pike changed the course RU basketball and have us something to cheer for.

Hopefully like many top programs in the country (Tony Bennett at UVA and Jay wright come to mind) heartbreak is just the start of building something. To taste victory it seems like you need to take your lumps. I trust pike fully to continue this trend. Coaching mistakes or not last night.

Even with all that being said this one hurts. Need some suggestions how to kill time today.

Last night was a bitter pill to swallow. To come so close numerous times to closing out the game and then giving it away on the final defensive play is tough. Making it all the tougher is knowing at least two, maybe three of our starters may have played their last game for RU leaving huge holes to fill next season.
