For #1 I think we got one vote in Pike's second year. Could be wrong but I think we started 9-0 or 10-0 and it was right before conference play? Before that (if I'm remembering right), a long time ago. (EDIT: I think it was his first year, we started 11-1)

1979 we ended the season ranked #18 after bowing out of the NCAA Sweet 16. After that final week of the 79 season, we would not see the top 25 polls again for the next 41 years (and counting)

If PSU can be in the top 25 for the first time in 24 years, why not us? They say it's 1978 at #15 was the last time but the poll was top 20 then, top 25 started 1989-90 season.

Maybe it was the coaches poll? I could've sworn I remember seeing a 25 next to Rutgers in 2006 or 2005.
