Should've had Purdue in Mackey earlier this year. I like our chances TBH, of at least getting one of those.
True, so I see no reason why Iowa can't win them both. Winning those two games would likely be the difference between a great regular season and a good one . . . and the difference between a 4 or 5 NCAA seed and a 7-8-9.

Iowa's currently #18 in KenPom and #20 in the NET, so a couple big wins should put the Hawkeyes in great shape for a favorable NCAA seed.

If Iowa wins their next 3 games, I'd expect them to shoot up to 15th or higher in both polls.

Agreed. Big stretch coming up, and a big opportunity.

Lose those, and yeah, probably looking at the 7-9 range. Need to add a few marquee wins down the stretch if we want a nice seed.

TBH, I’d be thrilled if we spilt.

I don't know if the players pay attention to rankings or not -would not shock me if BM tells them to tune it all out and just focus in next opponent.
That said, I'm sure they are aware at some level and will hopefully use this as motivation to prove themselves.

Tough home games for sure, but not only would it help with the poll voters and metrics but the Hawks would really be helping themselves by going 3-0 in the next three to maintain pace for a double-bye in the BTT, if maybe even put themselves in position of the triple-bye and not needing to play until Friday.

Crazy. I don't get it. If voters look at who we have lost to (sans MN), how can they not look at Iowa as a top 25 team?
Agreed - I think the respect will come in time though… my aspirations are for Iowa to morph into a Gonzaga-type program…(used to think Wisconsin, but they are too dirty to emulate) 😉

What the heck... you guys know we were ranked, haven't lost, and continue to fall in the rankings, right?
