Wasn’t there a low IQ poster saying Kepley wasn’t going to get drafted high, and then was adamant he wouldn’t do anything even at A level

I thought that last year would be a rebuilding year, so nowhere close to the success we had in 2024, but thankfully I was wrong. We have the best coaching staff in baseball, so if anyone can coach these kids up for another run to Omaha, it’s them.

Not surprised at Kepley at all... really wish we had him another year. I have been on record saying I thought he might a total net positive to the team while replacing Vance. Still stand by it.
Am a little surprised by Stevenson... thought he'd take a while to get going at the next level. Hopefully his trajectory to MLB takes a little while honestly. Not like you're going to get a spot on a team with Cal Raleigh at C on it, lol.

Kepley in 28 games at low-A; 131 plate appearances, .299 average, .481 on-base, 3 triples, 2 homers, 25 walks to only 15 strikeouts, 16 stolen bases (to 4 caught stealing), and of course 9 hit-by-pitches. Fairly sure he'll start next year at high-A.
Stevenson in 22 games at low-A: 100 plate appearances, .280 average, .460 on-base, 23 walks to only 19 strikeouts, 4 doubles, one homer.
Luke is almost a carbon copy of Cal minus the switch hitting. Good power, walks a lot, average behind the plate. Cal has been great this year, but if I were a betting man he’ll never have another season this good.
I mean it's not really going out on a limb to say he'll never hit 60 home runs in a season again haha
Heck yea. This team is going to be REALLY good. Even though it was just Walters State, everything we did impressed me. I remember last season coming out flat against Presbyterian and actually being down before they called the game. I don’t see this team ever coming out flat like that. I’m not saying go ahead and book hotel rooms for Omaha, but as long as we stay healthy, this will be a very fun year.
