When Princeton was beating RU every game, they wanted to play us. When we were able to beat them they opted out. This game should not have been scheduled. It is a no win situation for Rutgers and I’m surprised Pike and Hobbs let alumni influence them. Win or lose, I would not play them again.

It is a basketball game. I do not understand all the angst about a single one and done.

Did you complain about RU not making the tournament last year. See schedule.
I thought we would get in but was not surprised that we didn’t. OOC was an issue, but the much bigger issue was that we collapsed at the end of the season, and the committee doesn’t want to put in a team that is falling apart into the tournament. I would like to see us step up and play a national OOC schedule like the other big boys do, but that means lots of neutral site games, which the same crybabies on this site will wail about.
Yep, in January we had strong RPI after the OOC and early conference schedule. We just did not play well after the Mag injury. When you just miss out you can’t point to multiple games that cost the team the tournament invitations .
More like the big boys don't NEED to play princeton. B1G difference.
