don’t forget the Huskers landed 30 four star players in last five years including
nine who are freshmen. You have 130 players on your roster. You are not lacking
talent.

When Brohm took over he inherited 3 four star players and a consistent recruiting ranking of 60-70. He also went 7-6 last year...

I think more than half of those four stars are gone out of the program, here are just a few, Avery Roberts, Tristan Gebbia, Patrick Obrien, Jordan Stevenson, Elijah Blades, Jalin Barnett among others. The players have run three different defenses the last three years and three different offenses the last three years. It is not talent we lack but depth, that is why on offense the majority of the players that played were Sophomores and Freshman. We are a work in progress, but we will get better.

Of those 2013 2014 2015 and 2016 classes a total of 8 of those 4 stars are still on the roster and several play the same position.

Some positions have talent, but there are holes all over others where Riley under recruited or recruited poorly. Of note ILB, DE, TE, OT and Center are lacking depth and talent. (We are running a 3-4 defense but only have 4 scholarship ILB's on the entire roster for example.)

Not to mention Kicker and Punter are both pretty weak despite Riley insisting on using 3 scholarships on special teams.

Brohm also lost to Mike Riley in West Lafayette. That shows you that first year coaching staffs aren't always ready-made to win games. Frost will solve the problems. It may take a year or so, but he'll get there.
