Reading that message board is pure comedy. Earlier this week they were praising Strong and celebrating their almost win vs average cal. Now after another embarrassing loss some of their fans are considering boycotting the season ha-ha. Heard was the next coming of Vince young, now.........not so much

Let's just remember that in VY's third year, he was shut out in the RRR by a not great OU defense. Okay we were good in the regular season, but exposed by USC. VY didn't become the iconic memory in Fantasy Land until the Michigan game at the end of that season, and then a remarkable senior year.
It's a little early yet to be ragging on Heard.
VY only played 3 years. His 2rd year was the natty run for Texas. Vince left for the NFL after his junior year. But I agree with your overall point on it's a little early to rag on Heard. He is a freshman. It even took a freak like VY a couple of years to really find his groove.
I guess it turns out that all that hoopla about them now coming back after they beat Rice and barely lost to Cal was, well because....

Tennessee, Texas, the gnashing of teeth is pretty dramatic. The horns...wow, they are in a rough place. No one is defending Chas. anymore.
