Next game is against the Gophers. I think it is a toss up as it’s on the road. PJ and co will try to run the ball and limit possessions. Plus, they had a bye week to prepare for us. Again all these games depend on can Nebraska not only score, but also keep possession. It seems we are always beat in time of possession in games. Are defense understandably wore down against MU.

I think we will beat Purdue soundly. We have a bye week and they are struggling. Are defense will make them look one dimensional, same as last year.

Ohio State, I think people are still sleeping on them. I still say they are the best in the BIG. Are defense is good this year, but they could easily put 40 points on us. Especially if are offense can’t get on a roll. So I mark this down as an automatic loss.

I think this is the year we finally beat the Badgers. They have struggled and just because they beat Illinois doesn’t mean they have figured things out on offense. I know, I know we lost to Illinois, but that was week 0. It’s pretty much if are defense can stop the run we win. Easier said then done though.

Iowa will beat us again this year. It will be another one possession loss again. They will screw us on special teams/ field position again. Basically it’s like Groundhog Day playing them in the Frost Era.

So 5-7 or 6-6 is my prediction. Just hopefully we have that sixth win by the time Iowa visits Nebraska. It would be fun I think to watch the Huskers go to a bowl. I say I think because I barely remember what that’s like.

I think the Wisconsin game will be tougher than you do and I think you are over estimating Minnesota. I kind of see it like this.

Minnesota: If we play well and relatively clean we should be fine. For us to lose this game, it will take the kind of **** show that will get Frost's seat blazing hot again and I will probably be right there with my pitchfork. We must show up and take care of business Saturday.

Purdue: I actually think they are better than Minnesota and present more of a challenge to us. I know Minnesota just beat them, but Purdue was with out several starters including Bell. Brohm just didn't whine and make excuses before hand like PJ specializes in. However, it is at home and off of a bye week another game where we must take care of business.

Ohio State: They seem to have really fund their groove. Not really optimistic we can make this one go down to the wire like the other highly rated teams we've played.

Wisconsin: This one will be a slug fest. Wisconsin will be a physical challenge. Their defense is very good and we will need to take care of the ball. They really struggle offensively and we have alot more firepower than they do. I am optimistic we can get this one, if we don't have the big mistake.

Iowa: This one will be just like Michigan and MSU. It will be an exciting, physical game that most likely comes down to the wire. Can we finally finish against a Top 10 team? God I hope so.

3-2 record. the Ohio state game will be close and frustrating as the score gets away late. Iowa game goes down to last 2 minutes and a late FG decides it.

After watching Iowa a few times this year, I am cautiously optimistic about our chances of winning. Their offense is horrible. Defense is slightly overrated IMO. Had PSU’s qb not been injured I think they lose that game by 2-3 scores. I’m prepared for another disappointment, by I have a feeling this is the year.
